The Yorke Peninsula 4 Wheel Drive Club of SA Inc was formed in May of 1998.
It is a small, family based, environmentally friendly club with a relaxed
atmosphere.
The YP4WD Club encourages membership from all people who are
interested in four wheel driving, camping, bushwalking and the great
outdoors.
Ownership of a 4WD vehicle is not necessary. Membership is open to
individuals and families.
Activities include monthly meetings, Club BBQ's, social functions, driver
training,
technical & familiarity days, and participation in Community events,
as well as involvement with other 4WD clubs and their activities..
Day, weekend and longer trips away are regular features of the clubs
calendar. Experienced leaders are in charge of each of these trips. All
trips are covered by liability insurance, both on and off road, when
approved by the Club.
The YP4WD Club is affiliated with 4WDSA who promote responsible 4WD use and coordinate driver training courses.
These nationally accredited courses cover basic driver training through to
advanced driving & recovery.
The YP4WD Club abides by the 4WDSA
Code Of Ethics when driving on and off road.
We proudly promote and support TREAD LIGHTLY principles.
The YP4WD Club meets every third Thursday of the month (except
December) at 7.30pm at their
clubrooms at the Kadina Showgrounds, accessible from the Moonta Road.
